Lupins in the plant area

Outdoor Plants

Plants were, and are our passion.  For the past 11.5 years we have worked to bring you the biggest range we possibly could of quality healthy yet affordable herbaceous perennials, shrubs, trees, alpines, herbs, grasses, ferns, wildflowers, roses, climbers, soft fruit, bedding and vegetable plants.

Sadly this is coming to an end and, from March 2024 we will be moving to new premises and focusing on houseplants, indoor pots,a little bedding and very few perennials.  We will still have homeware and gifts, plus a reduced range of seeds, bulbs and tools.

Outdoor pots & planters

We're often told our prices are the best in Shropshire - now they'll be even better, as we are losing our display area. Expect discounts on most pots over the coming months and do ask about quantity discounts.

Our range of pots is huge , with something to suit most styles of garden, with a particular focus on terracotta and glazed ceramic in classic English or Cretan styles - or classic with a contemporary twist.

Our main pot suppliers are Woodlodge, Terracotta Pot Company, Apta and Mims.

Greenhouses & potting sheds

Swallow greenhouse

Swallow timber greenhouses offer superb quality and value. Made with pressure-treated timber and toughened safety glass, they have automatic opening roof vents the woodwork is guaranteed for 10 years.

Prices include delivery and installation. For information on styles, colours and options, why not come and see our Kingfisher greenhouse and Rook potting shed on display in the plant area.  We keep catalogues and price lists in the shop.

Compost & landscaping

In the run-up to our move we will only be topping up on Carr's Organic Compost, Carr's Soil Improver and Strulch mulch. The current stock of SylvaGrow and other growing media will be our last.

We do have Vitax 6X, which is a really great manure substitute as you need a lot less (a sixth of the amount!).

Our recycled-plastic paving grids (from the plant area paths - up to 20 tonne trucks can drive on them) are up for grabs at a good price and quantity discounts available.

Compost topsoil and bark

Stoneware, sculpture and garden ornaments

We have something for pretty much everyone.
Stoneware (statues, plaques, birdbaths etc.) comes from
London Ornaments and Willowstone.

Wind spinners and balancing/rocking ornaments make great gifts and bring movement and extra interest to your garden.

Decorative stakes remain firm favourites, with their dual purpose of adding interest, and providing a plant support.

Garden furniture

Benches and bistro sets are looking for homes! It's worth a look in the plant area - head for the shelter next to the bargain bench, and greenhouses to its left and you never know what you might find.

Adirondack chairs from LuxWood Patio are now our bestsellers. They're made from recycled plastic bottles, they require NO maintenance, look/feel amazing and you will be handing them down to children and grandchildren. What's not to love - oh and, the nice people from Lux Wood (a local company) will deliver and assemble your chairs for you, normally within a week for all theose they have in stock. The chairs and colour swatches are on display out front (Farmshop side) of our building.

Outdoor mirrors, bench seatpads and cushions are displayed within the shop.
