Hats

We have a lovely range of reasonably-priced hats for gardening in, for enjoying the outdoors in ... for all including men and children.

Scarves

Customers have been loving our new scarves and have been amazed at the prices (lighweight ones are nearly all under £5).

Clogs

A nice gift for yourself or someone else. So easy to slip on, our garden clogs are popular year-round and come in plains and patterns, fleece-lined or unlined.

Kids : we also stock some very popular children's gardening gloves - so they can be put to work, haha. And hats.

Christmas

At Christmas we're a winter wonderland. Scented pot-pourri fills the shop with a wonderful spicy-citrus aroma (also available bottled), and you'll find a huge range of decorations for your tree, plus wreaths, garlands, lights and tree stands, faux foliage and lit trees, pot-grown Christmas trees, candles, tree toppers, reindeer, jingle bells and all things sparkly.

We also stock Christmas cards in singles and charity packs, beautiful wrap, gift tags, coloured twine and raffia, wreath making and floristry supplies, single candles, ribbon by the metre or full reel, and of course gifts for everyone.

Plant feeding & propagating


You can find an extensive range of plant feeds here, including Rootgrow, organic rose food, tomato feed and the ever-popular drip feeders for orchids, citrus, houseplants etc.

Specialist Growth Technology houseplant, cactus and bonsai, orchid, citrus and carniverous plant composts are available in convenient 3L and 8L bags (and corresponding feeds and mysts).

Electric propagators, grow houses, seed trays, scoops, perlite, vermiculite, seeds, seed compost, greenhouse thermometers, fibre pots, plastic growpots, canes and sticks, plant labels, markers and pens, ties, cane toppers and other sundries are all stocked so you can get growing.

To help you relax and repair damage done by the elements ...

We love the Farmers' range from local company Welsh Lavender. Their creams and scrubs are of exceptional quality and work well on everyone (not just farmers).

Bestselling English Soap Company soaps come in delicious fragrances, and are perfect both to indulge yourself, or for a lovely little stand-alone gift, a Christmas stocking-filler, or to pop into your guest bathroom or holiday cottage.

Look out for Agnes & Cat treats such as bath salts and sope on a rope.

Cushions and bench seatpads for outdoors, cushions for your living room, conservatory, garden room - anywhere.

Our boxed and gifty candles are mainly by Harpers Candles (we love their quirky names and cruelty-free ethics) and Gisela Graham, plus some basics from Price's and others : altar candles, votives, basic tapered candles and tealights, and a range of insect repelling citronella candles.

Lit trees and garlands, solar LED light strings in different lengths, solar post lights, solar hanging lights, lanterns, votive holders & garden candles to illuminate outdoor entertaining.

Craft, floristry & wreath making

Coloured raffia

Jute twines and raffia, in natural/many bright & beautiful colours open up numerous crafty possibilities, including of course gift wrapping and tying up plants.

We also stock a range of Oasis floristry supplies, wreath rings, tissue and crêpe paper, ribbon, and rolls of plain brown paper.

Wildlife gardening

Here at the Plant Centrewe are very keen on wildlife, and stock a great range of bird tables, bird feeders, bird and hedgehog food, bird boxes, bug hotels and hedgehog homes.

We advise customers to include as many winter-flowering shrubs and plants in the garden as possible, to extend the season for bees to gather nectar, and to keep other insects about for birds to feed on.

Staff are always happy to discuss ideas for making your garden more attractive to wildlife, and we offer a range of different wildflower meadow seed mixes.

& tender plants + indoor pots

Add colour to your life all year round with our ever-changing selection of tender plants.

There’s always something new: for a gift, your kitchen windowsill, a table centrepiece, a planter or hanging basket, to bring a tropical feel to your conservatory, spark a child’s interest in plants or even grow your own lemons.
